The 6th Governors Ball is coming up! Here’s our guide to the festival

This coming weekend, the coolest festival in NYC takes place for the 6th time. The three day music festival held on Randall’s Island features features the best music right now, with an array of genres and styles of music, beautiful New Yorkers, fashion and a multitude of popular NYC restaurants and food trucks.

This year we’re teaming up with the best photographer in town, Brandon Woelfel, shooting the fashion scenery and capturing the vibe from the festival grounds. Check out his popular Instagram account @brandonwoelfel. Wow, this boy got talent! Follow his Instagram takeover at @andreasingeman.

Here is what you shouldn’t miss this year:

3.00 PM: Both Years & Years and Christine and the Queens are playing at the same time, so you have to choose between these great acts. What a shame. The London trio of Years & Years will definitely get you in the right mood. Seeing them at this years Coachella though, we will go for a new experience seeing the frenchie Christine as our opening act.

4.45 PM: Of Monsters and Men is always a hit! This year they are playing at the best time of the day, in the (hopefully) sunny afternoon with the the most iconic city skyline in the world backdropping.

7.00 PM: It’s time for happy melodic rhythms from Matt and Kim to get the party started.

9.15 PM: Robyn is the Swedish queen of pop. If you haven't experienced her live before; be there or be square!

12.15 PM: Start off day two with Holly Miranda. You won’t regret it.

1.00 PM-6.45 PM: Stroll around the festival grounds, eat some interesting food from the food trucks, sit down and drink, do some seriously people watching and just indulge in the atmosphere. Pop into some concerts randomly. Be sure Mac Miller, Misterwives and Louis the Child are amongst the acts you bump into.

6.45 PM: A must-see on Saturday: HAIM. Miguel is also worth your time. Too bad they are both playing at the same time.

9.15 PM:  Round off your night with The Killers, or M83. M83 is never wrong. Their beats will make you feel great!

Then: Rock the nightlife of the city that never sleeps. The Webster Hall is a great tip; )

Morning: Sleep. And sleep more; )

1.10 PM: Betty! Betty Who?

4.25 PM: One of our all time favourites: The Chvrches.

7.00 PM: Two Door Cinema Club will make you dance. And jump!

9.15 PM: The one and only, needs no further introduction: Kanye!
